Alaska Plates

lyrics

Never thought she'd leave
And I'm not yet sure I do believe
We ain't coming back from the aftermath

Wishing she could see
A parallel version of where I'd be
Her here beside me through a mirrored dream

Retrospect will cloud your head
Could'ves can't, should'ves shant, would'ves won't
Fix it in post

Might have listened clear
If she told me things were dire, dear
Now I drive alone 'cause I've got no one

Eight golden stars
On the Alaska plates of a shrinking car
Fading out of view
Since my baby said we're through

Ursa Major's nomenclature
Panning little grains of sand
In and out of hand
